Loviton didn't get going with giant investors or a fancy business plan. It all began with us, two people who couldn't find the women's coats we really desired. We were not looking for coats that are too stiff and complicated. Not the kind that are cool for a week. We wanted coats that looked good, felt good, and were robust enough to last through more than one season of your life.

In the beginning, we worked with a tiny workshop to make our own designs come to reality. We didn't follow the latest fashion trends when we made every sketch and cut. Instead, we thought about what ladies really desire to wear. We still work with the same artisans, even now that we know who we are. Real quality comes from trust, a shared love of what you do, and the knowledge that every stitch has a story.
